LCD TVs generally fail to perform when it comes to fast action images, and JVC aims to counter that with its second generation Clear Motion Drive (CMD) high speed LCD TV technology that will give it a fighting chance against plasma displays. The Clear Motion Drive II technology boasts a refresh rate of 120 frames per second (120Hz), which is double the standard rate as well as five times the performance of motion detection when compared to the original high speed driver. Full HD (1080p) displays are the main target for CMD II technology.
